The main train line between out of Edinburgh was closed for nearly two hours after a person was struck by a train.
Officers from British Transport Police attended between Haymarket and Edinburgh Gateway following the incident, which happened shortly before 7pm on Wednesday.
The incident affected services to Fife and Perth, with travellers allowed to use bus services and trams to complete their journey.

Services between Edinburgh to Perth were subject to delays until the line reopened at around 8.45pm.
A ScotRail spokeswoman said: “Services in Edinburgh were subject to delay and alteration today. Sadly, this was due to a person being struck by a train.
“Anyone affected by this incident can contact Samaritans free of charge, any time, from any phone, on 116 123.”
