Major roadworks will start in Dunfermline on Tuesday.
Work to resurface Hospital Hill and Queensferry Road on the southbound carriageways between St Leonard’s Street and Laburnum Road, will run until June 19.
The roadworks will be carried out in phases and Fife Council will use a convoy system to control traffic at certain times.
Drivers are being warned to expect delays and if possible to use alternative routes.
Phase one will run until June 3 and affect St Leonard’s Street to St Andrews Street from 9am to 3pm.
The second phase, from 7.30am to 4.30pm on June 4 and 5, is at the junction of Hospital Hill and St Andrews Street.
That will be followed on June 6 to 10 by work in Aberdour Road to Laburnum Road, which will take place from 9am to 3pm.
The penultimate phase, from 7.30am to 4.30pm will run over June 11 and 12. These will impact on the junction of Hospital Hill and Aberdour Road and 70m into Aberdour Road.
The final part will run from 7.30am to 4.30pm on June 18 and 19 on Hospital Hill from its junctions with St Andrews Street to Aberdour Road.
Access will be maintained to car parks on Hospital Hill but there will be restricted access to footway parking during the work but access for emergency services will be maintained.
Fife Council apologised for any inconvenience.
