A Dundee street is set to be closed to traffic for 10 days – and residents are delighted.
From Monday, Balerno Street in Douglas will be completely closed to all traffic to enable resurfacing work between Ballindean Road and Balerno Place.
The junctions of Banchory Road and Balbeggie Street will also be blocked to traffic during the work.
Despite the disruption the repairs will cause, residents say it will be worth it.
Sharleen Barker, 41, a support worker who lives in Balerno Street, said the work was badly needed while Fiona Cassidy, 61, said she has never seen the road in a worse state.
