Trains have been cancelled this morning after a break-down at an Angus station.
A Caledonian Sleeper service encountered problems in Arbroath, causing a knock-on effect on journeys running between Aberdeen to Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
A locomotive was sent to Arbroath to assist the broken down train, arriving at 9am.
ScotRail also arranged for buses to convey passengers between Aberdeen and Dundee.
The 8.38am service from Stonehaven to Penzance was cancelled due to the problems.

Scotrail has since confirmed that the Caledonian Sleeper is on the move, adding they are “hoping” services will be up and running again soon.
