Drivers have been warned to be cautious on Scotland’s roads his morning after the tail end of Hurricane Gert brought heavy rain to the country.
Locals in Tayside and Fife woke up to a downpour this morning while Traffic Scotland warned motorists across the country to be careful on the roads due to the weather.
A yellow warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms remains in place for the Grampian region, with forecasters warning of flooding across the region.

Hurricane Gert has become the seventh named storm of the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season and, at category two, it is the strongest one of the year so far.
Yesterday Met Office meteorologist Emma Sharples said: “Rain remains quite slow-moving throughout eastern Scotland on Friday.
“I suspect that the worst time for Tayside and Fife will be the early hours into 9am-10am in the morning, after that the rain pulls away.”
