One half of successful husband and wife business team dies

Kay Cosgrove.
Kay Cosgrove.

One of the owners of a successful Dundee coach firm has died.

Kay Cosgrove and husband Jim took over Fishers Tours in 2000 andĀ helped it become one of the most prominent transport groups in Dundee.

Sadly,Ā Kay, who was 65, passed away earlier this week.

The couple had been married forĀ almost 30 years and Jim said she will be remembered as an important influence in Fishers’ growth, but more so as a loving and friendly person.

Jim said: “Kay did the financial part of the business and I did the ground work.

“We worked together since we bought the business in the year 2000.

“We started out with a fleet of nine and now we’re up to 28.

“We’re well established and we have built up a good enough reputation.

“She’s going to be very missed by everyoneĀ ā€” the family and the people who work with us.

“Kay was always a very organised person, she was always firmly in control.

“She was there for everyone, people took to her. Kay was very easy to get on with.

“We were always a team, that’s the way we did it.”

Kay is survived by husband Jim, son Gordon and daughter Carrie.
