Roadworks will to begin on Monday on the Friarton Bridge and M90.
Three nights of structural inspections will take place from 7.30pm to 6.30am and will result in lane closures which BEAR Scotland state are not anticipated to have any impact on traffic.
Further roadworks will begin on Friday, October 6 on the southbound M90, between Bridge of Earn and Balmanno Hill. These will run from 7.30pm until 6.30am over the course of the weekend.
A 50mph contraflow system will be in place with the southbound Muirmont (Bridge of Earn) slip road closed and a diversion put in place via the Barnhill junction.
A BEAR Scotland spokesperson said: “This southbound section of the M90 is used by around 13,000 vehicles every day and surface maintenance works are now required.
“Consultation has taken place with local residents and stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
“The overnight works will allow specialist teams to carry out routine checks and maintenance on the Friarton Bridge deck and substructure. These works will include inspecting various elements of the bridge structure and cleaning the bridge deck joints.”
