A bus firm will roll out “cheaper” day return tickets across Tayside and Fife next week.
Stagecoach East Scotland said journeys across Dundee, Angus, Fife and Perthshire will be offered at prices ranging between £5 and £8 as of Monday, November 20.
The company said the “variety” of new return tickets can be used on trips between the likes of Perth, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Arbroath and Dundee.
Stagecoach said they will cost up to 40% less than equivalent dayrider tickets on many of its eastern routes.
Managing director of Stagecoach East Scotland, Paul Thomas, said: “We’re very excited to announce the introduction of these new day return tickets, especially with the festive season just around the corner.
“These day return tickets will allow customers to enjoy a great day out with the family for less.
“We hope the introduction of these new tickets will also benefit commuters getting to and from work day to day and encourage usage of our new and improved services.”
