A Police Scotland statement said: “Police Scotland advising of poor road conditions due to snow on A93 in the area of Spittal of Glenshee ski centre.
“Aberdeenshire Council have been advised and gritters have been dispatched. Motorists are advised to take care in that area.”
A Met Office’s chief forecaster added: “The extent of ice will vary across the area with inland areas most prone whilst coastal areas exposed to the northerly winds are less likely to be affected.
“One or two centimetres of snow may accumulate above about 200m (656ft) with temporary deposits at lower levels, mainly late in the night.”
