A car was reduced to ruins after catching fire on the main road between Aberdeen and Dundee.
Firefighters were called to the southbound A90 near the Bridge of Muchalls, just north of Stonehaven, just after 11am after reports of a 4×4 on fire.
Fire and rescue crews from Stonehaven and Altens in Aberdeen were called to the scene.

A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “We were there, we got called at 11.07am. The stop message was back at 11.59am. We used one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus.”
Nobody was injured during the incident.
There were delays of up to 45 minutes on the road as a result of the incident.
