‘Take extra care’: Warning as breakdown affects traffic on Tay Road Bridge

Tay Road Bridge.

Motorists were warned to take “extra care” on the Tay Road Bridge following a breakdown on Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle affected traffic on the southbound carriageway of the A92 between Dundee and Tayport. Both southbound lanes were impacted.

Police were notified at 12.15pm, however the crossing’s control staff dealt with the incident.

Things were back to normal on the bridge just before 1pm.

Tay Road Bridge staff said restrictions were in effect on the bridge, adding: “Please take extra care”.
