Local roads have been forced to close due to heavy snowfall this morning, however Courier Country has avoided the worst of the winter weather.
The A93 Perth to Braemar road is shut around Glenshee Ski Centre as a result of the conditions.
North-east police this morning said the snow gates would be shut “for the foreseeable future” following a huge dump of snow in the region this morning.
Glenshee Ski Centre staff said they are hopefully the route will reopen at 11am, allowing skiers and snowboarders to take to the runs.
The resort posted: “Snow gates closed. We hope to get them open about 11am. We will be opening lower lifts and hopefully more may be opened as the day goes on.”

Elsewhere the Cairn O’ Mount road between Strachan and Fettercairn was also shut this morning.

A yellow warning for snow is in place for much of Tayside and Fife until 3pm on Tuesday, with forecasters warning of a band of rain and hill snow making its way through the region.
However Courier Country has once again dodged the worst of the morning’s wintry weather.
It comes as wintry conditions brought travel disruption to roads across Scotland once again, with 30 primaries, secondaries and nurseries affected across the Highland Council region.
Poor conditions brought traffic to a standstill on the A9 Perth to Inverness road at Daviot, while flights out of Inverness Airport were disrupted in the morning.
