A unique addition to the Stagecoach Express City Connect Network, Stagecoach East Scotland have announced an investment of 5 innovative new coaches for the Perth fleet will operate along the popular X56 service from Perth to Edinburgh from mid-July.
The Plaxton Panther LE coaches are an innovative new design which retains the same level of luxury as a typical Stagecoach Express coach with leather reclining seats, free Wi-Fi access, USB charging points, air conditioning and a luggage hold whilst the front half of the vehicle features low level seating, improving accessibility for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues.
The new coaches will be used on the X56 route, serving Perth, Milnathort, Kinross, Kelty, Halbeath Park & Ride and Ferrytoll Park & Ride offering journeys up to every hour to the capital.
Stagecoach recently introduced 10 of the same coaches in West Fife and they were launched by the Minister for Further Education, Higher Education and Science, Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP.
These coaches will form part of Stagecoach East Scotland’s wider award-winning Express City Connect Network. The Express City Connect Network consists of high quality coach services across Fife and into Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
Stagecoach offer a vast range of great value tickets including single, return, daily, weekly and monthly tickets. Dayrider and megarider tickets provide unlimited travel for either one day or one week, ideal for commuters and daytrippers.
