Train services across Scotland were disrupted after a lorry struck a bridge between Perth and Dundee.
ScotRail had warned journeys from Dundee to Glasgow would be “cancelled, delayed or revised” following the incident on Tay Street at 12.20pm on Friday, with people travelling between the two cities being told to journey through Edinburgh.
Trains from Dundee and Aberdeen heading to Glasgow Queen Street were all affected.

Trains were back operating at a reduced speed by about 2pm, however disruption was predicted until 2.30pm.
Nobody was injured in the crash.

ScotRail said: “Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Dundee and Perth trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines. Disruption is expected until 2.30pm.
Impact:
“Train services between Aberdeen and Glasgow Queen Street will be cancelled, delayed or revised.
“Our staff has examined the line and is (sic) happy that trains can pass by safely. These services will run through at a reduced speed until a bridge examiner can confirm and allow train to run as scheduled.
“We will update you once we get more information from the ground.”
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended a minor road traffic collision in Tay Street, Perth, (at) about 12.20pm this afternoon (August 10).
“A lorry has been involved in a collision with a railway bridge. There were no injuries and the road was cleared very quickly, however traffic restrictions are in place to allow Network Rail engineers to examine the bridge.”
Immediately following the incident ScotRail said: “Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Dundee and Perth all lines are closed. Disruption is expected until 2.30pm.
“Train services between Dundee and Glasgow Queen Street will be cancelled, delayed or revised.”
