Police have told St Johnstone and Dundee fans to stick to a specially drawn-up traffic plan ahead of the clash between the two sides.
The Scottish Premiership clubs will go head-to-head at McDiarmid Park on Saturday at 3pm – however fans have been warned about the “extensive roadworks” under way around the grounds.
Tayside Police Division issued a statement and a map for fans of both teams to adhere to.
St Johnstone supporters have been asked to come to McDiarmid Park via the A85 Comrie to Perth road at the Crieff Road gates, parking in the main car park to the rear of the South Stand.
Home fans are also being encouraged to leave via this route, where a slip road onto the A9 Perth to Inverness road will be made available.
Dundee fans coming off the Broxden roundabout will be directed down the northbound A9 to the Inveralmond roundabout, then on to the southern section of the road.
Afterwards they are being asked to take the “first available” slip route onto a filter lane, turning right to the stadium via the North Gate. They will then be directed to parking west of the all-weather pitch.
The force said: “As those of you who live in or travel through Perth will be painfully aware, there are currently extensive roadworks in the vicinity of McDiarmid Park.
“In advance of the match tomorrow (Saturday, August 25) between St Johnstone and Dundee, a traffic plan has been put in place.
“Home supporters travelling to the match will be encouraged to enter the ground via the Crieff Road gates on the A85 and park in the main car park at the rear of the South Stand as per normal match day arrangements.
“Egress will also be via the Crieff Road gates, with a slip road gate that leads onto the A9 also available once away supporters have exited the ground.”
The statement adds: “Away supporters exiting Broxden Roundabout will be directed to follow the “football stadium” signage northbound on the A9 to Inveralmond roundabout and then proceed southbound on the A9, taking the first available slip road then moving into a right hand filter lane and turning right into McDiarmid Park via the newly-constructed North Gate.
“Stewards will then direct traffic to park at the west side of the all-weather pitch.
“At the conclusion of the game, away supporters will exit the car park via a gate that leads onto a slip road and the A9.
“Home supporters may also use this means of exit once all the away supporters have cleared the ground.”
