A man suffered “serious injuries” in a crash which closed one of the busiest roads in Angus on Monday. The A92 Arbroath to Montrose road was closed near Inverkeilor due to the road traffic collision involving one car at about 1.45pm. It is understood the vehicle left the road and ended up in a field. A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident. On Tuesday morning a police spokesman said: “A 30-year-old driver is still in hospital with serious injuries. The road reopened after seven hours.” There have been no further updates on his condition. Motorists were advised to seek an alternative route while police dealt with the aftermath of the crash. A number of police vehicles and ambulances were called to the scene.
