Firefighters were called to the A90 Perth to Dundee road near Errol at about 10.50am on Tuesday following a two-car collision. Two fire and rescue appliances from Perth used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the elderly men from one of the vehicles involved. They were taken to Ninewells Hospital to be treated. The severity of their injuries is not yet known. A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “We got the call at 10.48am. We had two appliances there. Both casualties are going to Ninewells Hospital. “It was a two vehicle road traffic collision. Two elderly gentlemen were trapped. We used hydraulic cutting gear. “The stop message came at 11.41am.”
