A motorcyclist suffered “potentially life-changing” injuries after a crash on an Angus road.
Police and paramedics were called to the collision involving a grey BMW motorcycle and a white BMW vehicle on the B954 Dundee to Alyth road at Auchterhouse at about 5pm.
The road has been closed and motorists have been told to “avoid the area”.
A police spokesman said: “A motorcyclist hit a car and was taken to hospital. His injuries are non life-threatening but potentially life changing.
“An operation may need to be carried out after he suffered a severely broken leg.”
Tayside Police Division earlier posted to Facebook: “Police Scotland are currently in attendance at a road traffic collision on the B954 at Auchterhouse and the road is currently closed.
“We would ask members of the public to avoid the area at this time.”
