Emergency services were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a cyclist on a rural Fife road on Friday morning.
A male cyclist was treated by paramedics at the scene of the incident, which took place on the A914 St Michaels to Dairsie road, between St Michaels and Balmullo.
His injuries were not thought to be life threatening, but the incident caused traffic to build up in the area for some time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said officers were investigating what happened and received a report that a collision between a bike and a car had taken place at 10.25am.
However, it is thought there may have been no contact between the vehicle and the bike. Inquiries are ongoing.
