Traffic was at a “standstill” following a crash on one of Perthshire’s busiest roads on Friday afternoon.
The crash, said to involve up to five vehicles, took place on the southbound A9 Perth to Gleneagles road near the Broxden Roundabout at about 1.50pm.
Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland and other emergency services are currently in attendance at a road traffic collision on the southbound A9 about 500m south of Broxden.

“A number of vehicles have collided, however there do not appear to be any serious injuries.
“The road is currently open but one lane is closed southbound, which is causing traffic delays. Please bear this in mind if you need to travel in the area for the next couple of hours.”
Traffic Scotland tweeted: “A9 Broxden Roundabout southbound heading towards Gleneagles – a multiple RTC is blocking the road causing standstill traffic just after the roundabout.
“Emergency services on scene, police trying to move vehicles over.”

UPDATE: The road reopened just before 3.30pm.
