The pedal cyclist was involved in a road traffic collision on Strathmartine Road, near the junction of Dunavon Gardens, shortly after 4pm. Police Scotland officers and an ambulance crew attended the scene and the road was closed for a short time. A police spokesman confirmed the boy was taken by ambulance to Ninewells with “non-life threatening injuries.” He said: “It would appear the pedal cyclist was clipped by the side of a moving bus.” No further details on the boy’s condition have been released but it is understood he suffered bruising, a broken wrist, cuts to his head and face.
