A police statement read: “Police Scotland officers are currently dealing with a road traffic accident some four miles south of the Brechin turnoff.
“There is a lane closure to recover the vehicle and remove debris. The public are asked to avoid the area if possible and seek an alternative route.”
Traffic Scotland posted: “A90 four miles south of Brechin – Partially blocked due to a road traffic incident. Use caution as there may also be debris on the carriageway.”
The incident was caused by a motorist who bumped the central reservation.
The second lane was closed to allow debris to be cleared from the roadway.
