A week of overnight roadworks are to affect motorists on the A9.
The road surface near Pitlochry is to be improved in a £250,000 project.
The overnight improvements are scheduled to begin on Sunday and will take seven nights to complete.
The project will take place between 7pm-7am each night with works expected to be finished by 7am on Tuesday March 19. No work will take place on Friday or Saturday night.
During the work, a 10mph convoy system will be in place and the A924 Pitlochry southbound slip road will be closed, with a diversion in place via Bridge Road and Foss Road.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north-west representative, said: “These £250,000 essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.
“The traffic management arrangements are necessary to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists. We have planned the improvements to take place overnight to minimise disruption for road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible and we thank the local community and all road users for their patience in advance while we carry out this work.
“We would encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
The improvements to the A9 are part of a wider programme of surfacing improvements being carried out across the north west trunk road network for 2018-19.
