A drink-driver crashed her car, drove around a roundabout in the wrong direction and then stopped on the motorway with no lights on.
The driving of Evie Aitken in Dunfermline could have had “catastrophic consequence”, a court has heard.
It was not first time the 25-year-old had been caught over the limit.
Aitken, of Perth Road, Abernethy, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on February 7 on Halbeath Road, Dunfermline and the M90 near to Cleish, she drove a car having consumed excess alcohol
She also admitted that on Halbeath Road, Dunfermline and the M90 near to Cleish, she drove a car dangerously in a state of disrepair and stopped the vehicle in a motorway lane without the lights being on.
Sheriff James MacDonald put Aitken on a community payback order with 160 hours of unpaid work and 18 months’ supervision.
