Thursday’s morning’s fault in Perthshire was fixed by Network Rail and services returned to normal at about 10am.
On Wednesday trains across Perthshire were cancelled after a series of lightning strikes battered the area on Wednesday morning.
The thunderstorms led to damaged equipment, blown fuses, points failures and caused level crossings across the network to fail.
