Overnight roadworks in Perthshire are set to begin later this month as road closures are put in place.
The works will begin on October 22 and will last for three nights, with the road closure being in place between 7pm and 7am each night.
The A85 at Dunira Bends near St Fillans will undergo road surfacing improvements.
The £100,000 works aim to address defects in the road surface, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
The restricted road widths at this section of the A85 have meant Bear Scotland took the decision impose a road closure.
This is to ensure the safety of both road workers and road users.
While the road will be open during the daytime, a 30mph speed limit will be put in place to allow vehicles to safely pass over the temporary road surface.
Access for local residents will be maintained during the works and emergency services will be able to pass through the area at all times.
Bear Scotland’s North West Representative, Eddie Ross said: “This essential £100,000 resurfacing project will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users at this section of the A85.
“The overnight road closures in place are essential to ensure the safety of road works and road users, however our teams will look to do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.
““We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
