He takes up his appointment on Wednesday. In his first full day as manager, White said after the game against Aberdeen: “I’m very happy Harold has agreed to come back into the game. “He and I are on the same wavelength. “It’s essential we have this understanding because we will both be out training with the team at all times. “Having worked together before will obviously help us both settle in quickly.” After an illustrious career as a player with East Fife and Rangers, Davis became coach to Queen’s Park. Davie White then took him back to Ibrox when he was manager there. When White was dismissed from Rangers, Davis followed soon after.
