Andy Walker’s recent mention of a Scotland XI touring Hong Kong and the Far East, Australia, New Zealand and Canada in 1967 threw up some great names.
Some of these players never received a full cap (some others did), and this was a great route to taste international football.
Of the full international team which beat England 3-2 at Wembley a month earlier, just one made the trip — Sheffield Wednesday’s Jim McCalliog.
