SP Answer — Ball signed for Blackpool as a professional in 1962 and played 116 games, scoring 41 goals.
In July 1966, he collected a World Cup winners’ medal at the age of 21 when England came from behind to win 4-2 at Wembley after extra time against West Germany.
A month later, at the start of the 1966-67 season, he joined Everton for £110,000, then signed for Arsenal in 1971 for £220,000.
After five years with the Gunners, he was transferred to Southampton for £60,000.
