Blether: Graham Honeyman’s stint at Dundee United By John Brown April 2 2018, 9:42am April 2 2018, 9:42am Share Blether: Graham Honeyman’s stint at Dundee United Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/columnists/2610037/blether-graham-honeymans-stint-at-dundee-united/ Copy Link My former East Fife team-mate Graham Honeyman joined Dundee United for a short spell in the late 1970s. I came across the following cuttings. The first, from October 1978, said: Dundee United have signed former East Fife player Graham Honeyman (25) on a short-term contract. He has most recently been playing in Australia, either up front or in midfield. Another cutting two months later added: Dundee United announced that Graham Honeyman is to be released after his trial stint. Honeyman is attached to West Adelaide in Australia and United were not prepared to pay the fee asked for him. They also feel they have enough players of his standard available, and that another name on the list would only impede the progress of youngsters. Graham played in the Bayview side that won promotion to the top division in Scotland in season 1970-71. He made his debut as a 16-year-old during that campaign and certainly did not look out of place among his older team-mates. This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website.
