SP Query — In February 1988, ‘FM’ asked: What were Dundee’s results under caretaker-manager Sammy Kean in 1965, prior to Bobby Ancell taking over at Dens Park.
SP Answer — Sammy became caretaker-boss on February 23, 1965, when Bob Shankly left to take the Hibs job.
He had six matches in charge until Ancell took up his duties on March 29.
Sammy’s results were — Hearts (a) 7-1, St Mirren (h) 2-1, Dunfermline (a) 3-3, Celtic (h) 3-3, Dundee United (h) 2-4, Partick Thistle (a) 4-4.
