Dundee Dragons were the winners in 2014 and are nominated for the award once again. The wheelchair sports club offer six sports to its members – basketball, badminton, tennis, rugby league, rugby and curling. Will they win two years running?
Dundee Gymnastics Club 2K regularly have members competing in the very top competitions around the UK and Europe. Plenty of medals won throughout 2015 including taking the Gordon Foster Team Competition at Bell’s Sports Centre for the fourth year running.
Dundee Hawkhill Harriers have an impressive history stretching all the way back to 1889 and over the past few years have revived their membership numbers and are competing for top honours in athletics and cross country. GB 1500m record-holder Laura Muir is a member.
Grove Menzieshill Hockey Club is the city’s leading hockey club after a merger between Menzieshill and Bonagrass Grove in 2010. In recent years they have had two players top 100 caps for Scotland in current captain Gavin Byers and Linda Clement.
Menzieshill Whitehall Swimming and Water Polo Club have gone from strength to strength over recent years in both swimming and especially water polo. Water polo player Hannah Edwards represented Great Britain U/17s at the Baku 2015 European Games.
