Former Dundee FC fitness coach Harry Hay got in touch after seeing the photo of Dundee United training on the beach.
“Great to read your column and Dundee United training on the beach,” opened Harry.
“I spent 24 years at Dens Park as their fitness coach. I was asked in by then manager Gordon Wallace to work with the young players such as Billy Dodds, Steven Frail, Mark Craib and Andy Dow to name a few.
“I can always remember our training sessions.
“It was up The Law, and also running up and down the stairs on our arrival back at Dens.
“We also went along to Alexander Street to finish our session it was up and down the multi storeys’ 21 flights of stairs.
