Blether with Brown: ‘Grudge match’ v Ayr?

I came across this photo of the Dundee Strikers ladies football team from 1974.

The caption lists the team as playing a “grudge match” against Ayr Rebels at Lochee Park.

Can any reader tell why it was a ‘grudge match’?

I remember two of the top players at the time for Strikers being Liz Creamer and Mary O’Neill.

There are two players listed as M O’Neill and I don’t know if this is correct or an error.

Can any reader throw some light on any of the above?
