Blether with Brown: Team photo is sought

Dave Martin, currently team manager at Dundee North End juniors, has been enjoying seeing recent photos of the Dundee Schoolboys U/15 teams.

“There are some great players in these photos,” said Dave.

“However, I keep waiting on the photo of the team I played in.

“Photos were definitely taken by the Press at that time.”

Our files don’t reveal the Schoolboys pic with Dave in it, so if any reader has a copy, please send it in.

Successful at Craigie, too

Just signed CO, a reader popped a line into the BwB office.

It read: “Reference to Mr Bob Blyth (Sept 2), Stuart Heaton was correct.

“He was in charge of Craigie High School’s first football trophy-winning team.

“We won the League and the Dundee United Cup in the same year, maybe 1972-73.”
