James Melville is keen to know how Dundee Arnot got their name.
Arnot were a local junior side who seemed to be in existence for around 50 years and there is not much mention of them after they won the Courier Cup in the 1955-56.
Jim, however, has unearthed a photo and puts forward a theory.
“This photo adorns the south side of Park Avenue in Dundee, approximately halfway along from Albert Street,” he said.
“I am wondering if this is where Dundee Arnot got their name from.
“I have made inquiries with various parties but no one can tell me where the team got their name from.
“Perhaps some of your readers will have an answer.”
