Blether with Brown: Manchester City goalie was Caballero III at Dens Park

Watching goalkeeper Willy Caballero make his debut for Manchester City in the recent pre-season friendly against Dundee at Dens Park prompted a decent Dee football trivia question.

Two other football personalities with the surname Caballero have played a massive part in Dundee’s fortunes.

One, obviously, is Argentinian striker Fabian Caballero, a much-loved marksman with the Dark Blues support, and who was signed by Ivano Bonetti.

However, can any BwB reader tell me who is the third Caballero . . . a gentleman who seriously had a hand in deciding Dundee FC’s fortunes?
