Blether with Brown: Goalkeeper Brian sadly passed away

There were a couple of replies to the Stobswell Secondary School U/16 team group from 1975, which featured at the start of July.

On the Tele Facebook page, Nicole Richardson recognised her dad Brian Thomson as the goalkeeper.

Sadly, though, she revealed Brian passed away in July 2010.

Initially, we had a bit of a giggle as to why one of the substitutes was featured in a rather trendy dress shirt.

Thomas Duncan came in with, I reckon, the rather obvious reply: “In these days, there were only 11 tops per team.”
