My former team-mate Michael Peoples has sent in a medal, which he hopes can be returned to its rightful owner.
“My daughter Michelle found it outside her flat in Wiston Place, Dundee,” said Mike, who played for, among others, Springfield AFC, Bank Street Athletic AFC and the St Joseph’s junior side when it was under the revolution of Dave Young and Peter Marr.
“The medal has the inscription ‘PJFA Constitutional Cup 1926/27 Won by Violet FC J. Gilmour.
“If you could put this into BWB and eventually find the rightful owner, I would gladly deliver it on Michelle’s behalf.”
Other teams Michael played for were Parkvale FC (Sunday Welfare) and Drumgeith AFC on a Sunday Morning.
“The Drumgeith spell was one year to help out after Jimmy Sorrie broke his leg,” explained Michael, who also had spells with Broughty Ex-Servicemen’s Club and Riverside Athletic AFC.
He was also capped for the Scotland Amateur side in an away international against Northern Ireland.
