Blether with Brown: Vault boys too ready to admit defeat

There was an immediate response to Bobby Glennie’s poser from last week.

To refresh, the former Dundee FC captain asked… “Which two professional footballers were brought up in the same closie (tenement) in Dundee, went to the same school, signed for the same senior club, then went on to play for different international teams?”

The immediate response, though, was one of failure from the lads from The Vault hostelry in Monifieth.

Mine host Eric Thomson phoned me at home, and said: “John, you’ve got to tell us (his regulars) the answer to Bobby’s query.

“It’s knocking us out down here. We’ve gone through everyone we can think of but just can’t come up with it.”

On the other side of the coin, many BwB readers got it (others didn’t) and I’ll share their views with you next week.
