Ian Thomas, who contributed in recent times in BwB about Tam Saunders boxing in Liverpool, takes to football this time.
He has sent in photos of Dundee ex-pat Grant Smart at Christmas time playing for Aussie Scotland a team Down Under made up of Scottish immigrants.
“Grant looks OK for 60 and he lives about 20 minutes up the road from George Butler, who played for Dundee United and Broughty Athletic,” said Ian, who intimated that George was soon to be married.
“When in Dundee, Grant played for Montrose and then Downfield Juniors with his pal George Peacock, who also lives in Oz.”
