I’ve known members of the Garden family for decades and, as this photo resurrected from our photo files shows, they are all cricket mad.

Dad Howard was a colleague in DC Thomson and fancied himself as a bit of a goalkeeper, too, in works league matches.
Graeme is currently the Tele’s cricket correspondent (Extra Cover) and a member of Forfarshire Cricket Club.
Lindsay, a postman, is one family member I don’t know personally but he would have, naturally, been delighted last year when his son Callum (15) was part of the Forfarshire U/15 cricket team which won the Scottish Cup.
