Willie Mitchell, of Brechin, is glad to see Forfar West End still up and running in the East Region Junior Leagues.
“I’m well into my 80s now and used to follow Angus junior teams,” said Willie.
“There is not so many on the go now but Forfar used to have at least four on the go at one time.
“Some of my friends don’t believe me. Can BwB confirm this?”
I can confirm that, at the turn of the last century, in addition to Forfar West End, there were several other Forfar-based junior teams competing as members of the Angus Junior FA.
These included Forfar East End, Forfar North End, Forfar Celtic, Forfar Central, Forfar Corinthians.
