Blether with Brown: George Best dropped in at Dens Park, too

James Wilson, of Tayport, replied to the article on September 13 which showed George Best at Gayfield Park, Arbroath, playing for Arbroath Vics JFC in their centenary year game against the town’s senior side in 1982.
“I was only a young boy but I remember George Best being at Dens Park. I enclose a copy of a photo which my late dad had.
“I was around six or seven at the time, so it could be around 82-84.”
This photo shows the Northern Ireland and Manchester United genius at Dens with (from left) Stuart Turnbull, Unknown, Ray Stephen, Jocky Scott, manager Donald Mackay and Alan Smith (supporter).
Could it be that George was there over the same weekend?
