Only 14 years separate the Alyth United JFC teams pictured but, certainly, the hairstyles are a generation apart!
The first picture is the very staid side from 1960.
The team of “heavy metal” players is the Perthshire outfit’s 1974 line-up, when trips to the barber shop were few and far between.
This side, almost entirely made up of Dundonians, were Midlands JFC Second Division champions (1973-74).
Norrie Gallazzi was telling friends at the Fort, Broughty Ferry, that he recently turned 62. Methinks ‘Nommie’ has conveniently chopped a few years off!
