Scottish cycling star and Dundee University rector Mark Beaumont will pass through Dundee and Fife this week as part of a round-Britain cycle.
Beaumont is currently training for his trip around the world, which he hopes to complete in just 80 days.
The Scotland leg of his training cycle around Britain sees Perthshire-raised Beaumont spending six days cycling around his home country from Dumfries to Thurso.
The 3,500 miles, 15-day training ride will be at the ’80 days pace’, with Beaumont cycling for 16 hours and 240 miles each day.
He will take on the Artemis World Cycle in July.
On Saturday, he will be in Dundee at 8am, St Andrews at 9am and arrives in Edinburgh at 12pm.
Mark said: “This is the culmination of the past two decades, since I was a 12-year-old boy cycling across Scotland. I would love for this journey to give people the confidence to take on what they are capable of, for young people in particular to stop and to think ‘what’s my 80 days’?”
