Three of Courier Country’s universities have been listed among the top ten in Scotland, with St Andrews University ranking in first place.
Dundee University came in at third place in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018, followed by Abertay University in 10th place.
In the UK overall, St Andrews is in third place, Dundee in 23rd — an improvement from last year when it was in 28th — while Abertay’s ranking fell from 85th to 98th.
Professor Sir Pete Downes, principal and vice-chancellor of Dundee University, said: “I am delighted that we have not only once again improved our ranking among the top universities in the UK but that we are in the UK’s top 10 for graduate prospects, showing that we are equipping our students with the attributes to make an impact in the workplace and the wider society.
“We are ranked similarly highly for student experience and teaching excellence, which together show that Dundee is one of the best places in the country to study.
“This year has already seen us acknowledged as one of the world’s top 200 universities and receive a gold award in the inaugural Teaching Excellence Framework.
“Furthermore, I am pleased that our efforts to make university a reality for students from the most deprived sections of society have been highlighted.”
Glasgow was named Scottish University of the Year by the annual guide.
