It might not feel like it this week, but spring is on the way — and you have the chance to banish the winter blues in a riot of colour next weekend.
Dundee University’s Indian Society is extending an open invitation to anyone who wants to take part in the technicolor joy of the Holi Festival.
Held across the world every year, Holi involves crowds of people chasing each other with packages of brightly-coloured powder in a high-energy afternoon of fun.
Society president Simran Chopra said: “Holi is a festival that is celebrated in India and marks the arrival of spring.
“The festival enables everyone to get together regardless of their ethnicity, religion and social status as everyone looks the same. And this is exactly what the society wants — which is to welcome everyone to have a great time together.”
The event, which also features music and food, has been postponed by a week because of the weather and will now be taking place at the university campus green on Saturday March 10 from 12-3pm.
