A decision on preferred sites for the replacement of Inverkeithing High School has been called in for review.
Fife’s education committee last week chose two options to pursue – the Fleet Grounds in Rosyth and land north of the A921.
However, amid ongoing question marks about sites and costs, a cross-party group of 20 councillors instigated a scrutiny committee to review the decision yesterday.
Conservative councillor Dave Dempsey said: “It may be that, at the end of all this, the original decision stands, or it may be amended.
“Local councillors and the public should have more confidence, whatever the outcome.”
