The date for the full reopening of Perth and Kinross schools has been announced.
Perthshire pupils are scheduled to return full time on August 17.
This comes after Deputy First Minister John Swinney announced earlier this month that schools would fully reopen in August, but did not specify a date.
School pupils will begin school on August 12 on a phased basis before full time schooling commences.
Individual schools will decide which pupils will attend during the first week, and when.
Perth and Kinross Council’s Executive Director of Education and Children’s Services, Sheena Devlin said: “We are looking forward to start welcoming pupils back from 12 August and aim to have all pupils back in school full-time on 17 August.
“Our schools will be in touch with parents, pupils and carers over the next few days to confirm arrangements.
“Our teachers and other school staff are committed to delivering the best education possible for children and young people when they return to school.”
However, the plans will only be implemented if there is not an upsurge in Coronavirus cases in Scotland.
